David Wilson is the artist behind Bounce — a Miami Beach contemporary art practice built around a singular, unexpected medium: the rubber bouncy ball. Working at large scale, each piece is assembled by hand — thousands of balls arranged with precision to construct bold portraiture that offers two entirely different viewing experiences.

From across the room, a striking image emerges. Step closer and the canvas dissolves into thousands of individual balls — smiley faces, swirls, soccer balls, dinosaurs, cats, cars — each a fragment of shared nostalgia. The sculpture reveals itself only at proximity.

The Bounce Through Life philosophy runs through everything. Life puts up barriers and opens doors. It asks you to read the energy in a room, find your people, and move toward what resonates. Bounce makes that philosophy visible — chaotic and precise, joyful and serious, childhood and craft in the same breath.

All pieces are crafted from rubber bouncy balls sourced from around the world, set in resin on acrylic. Each large 36" × 48" canvas contains approximately 1,836 balls.
